Beauty Seekers Bathed in a Warm Glow, 2009 from the “Chelsea Pedestrian” Series, 2009       For this project, I shot footage in the public space of the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. I was interested in finding and recording everyday moments that heightened a sense of magic in this neighborhood. I thought it would be interesting to shoot video outside of the art galleries, on the streets. Public photography was popular - many brought their cameras to the ‘art district’ looking for inspiration. People were also less guarded about being recorded while strolling between galleries.
